There are a couple of ways you can do this, but first, I want to clarify this HUGE MYTH that is going around about Spam trigger words.

I get email all the time from people who think they have cleverly fooled the Spam Filters by placing arbitrary spacing between letters of what they think are Spam Words.

For example, you probably have seen this before--> F-R-E-E or FR^E or F R E E, or the twenty other ways people are spelling that word!

Am I right?

Everyone thinks the word "FREE" registers huge Spam Scores and kills their email before it gets through. But guess what?

This is a TOTAL MYTH!

In fact, the word "FREE" only scores .05 in SpamAssassin, which is one of the lowest scores you can ever get.

I can't help myself from silently chuckling when I see how some people pay so much attention to those single words when it is the combination of words that gets them in real trouble.

I typically see phrases that score 2.9, 4.3, 3.0 etc. in emails where the sender has carefully decorated words that they erroneously thought were triggers.

They are focusing on the wrong thing.

My question to you is: Have you ever focused on the wrong thing as well?

Don't worry, I did too, in fact, that's the reason why I started studying Spam Filters and what made them work. I dissected them, part by part, element by element.

And believe me, they work in ways that will blow your mind and the most innocent copy will get triggered as Spam.

Remember: in my opening sentence I mentioned a fact, that between 40 and 70% of all incoming email gets killed according to Time Magazine. Here is that fact again.

Once again, 40% and 70% of all incoming mail is killed upon arrival. This is crazy isn't it? And what's worse it suggests that a lot of legitimate email gets trapped unbeknownst to the sender, and the receiver never knows about it.

You have probably experienced this, when someone who has been waiting to get email from you has said "hey when are you going to send me that email," and you say, "I did, I DID!" And they think you are lying.

Well, this is the problem.

That's NOT how much Spam they are catching.

That is "wanted," "legitimate," "requested" email that is getting thrown into the dumpster BEFORE it reaches the inbox!

Realizing that even though most Spam Filters are using more complex triggering systems based on phrases and complex scoring algorithms, there are still a lot of smaller ISPs that are using older Spam Filter technology that is just based on single more obvious words.
